Sydney Sixers v Adelaide Strikers

Sixers to win Head-to-Head @ $1.99

Last week the punters who backed the Sydney Sixers were made very happy after taking $2.12 odds, as the reigning champs won in record fashion, bowling out the favoured Renegades for 60 in the 11th over.

Since the Sixers haven’t lost to the Adelaide Strikers since 2017, as long as the weather stays away in Hobart, I expect Sydney to make their punters very happy again, as they almost double their money. Jason Holder will be looking to impress on his debut as well.

Sydney Sixers – Highest Opening Partnership @ $1.95

History always seems to point in the direction of the Sixers when they go head to head with the Strikers, with the Sixers having the higher opening partnership in the teams’ last 5 contests against one another.

Adding in the fact that Salt and Weatherald (Adelaide Openers) have struggled to spark together recently, having not posted a double-digit opening partnership in their 3 outings, makes this market potentially the best value of the week.

Carlos Brathwaite – Sydney Sixers Top Run Scorer @ $12

If you’re looking for a smoky to boost your winnings this week, look no further than Carlos Braithwaite. With how all-rounder Daniel Sams batted last week, why count out the West Indian power hitter?

Brathwaite has been playing plenty of T20 cricket in the Caribbean this year whilst others have been in lock down, and since the Sixers have historically chased the Strikers in the past 6 games, we could be set for a 2016 T20 World Cup Final repeat (close your eyes English fans).

Sydney Thunder v Perth Scorchers

Scorchers to win Head-to-Head @ $1.70

Last week we saw Heat veteran Ben Laughlin coughing up 25 runs off only 5 balls in the 19th over, along with Thunder all-rounder Daniel Sams hitting a career high of 65 not out. I wouldn’t get too excited with Thunders win against the Heat though, as I see little value in the Thunder @ $2.14.

On the other hand, the Scorchers arguably have the best batting line-up on paper in the tournament (former Australia Test Opener Bancroft batting at 6), and witnessing Munro, Clarke and Turner return to form, Scorchers are a lock at $1.7.

Daniel Sams – Sydney Thunder Top Wicket Taker @ $3.10

Coming off hot form with the bat last game, where Sams had hefty $10+ odds to be top scorer for the Thunder, it looks as though Daniel Sams will continue his domination but with the ball this time around.

Sams has taken the most wickets for the Sydney Thunder in each of their last 4 regular season games and was the leading wicket taker in the league last season with 30 wickets from 17 games.

Colin Munro – Perth Scorchers Top Run Scorer @ $3.50

Averaging 31 this year with the bat in T20’s, Munro has played 28 twenty-over cricket games in 2020, almost twice as many than any other Scorcher batsman.

With plenty of form, Munro also boasts 6 half centuries this year with at least one in each of the 4 competitions he has been a part of. Munro will look to post his 7th half century next game and with odds of $3.50, I struggle to see a player with better value.
