Canberra R4 #6 Aerobatic Warrior $5.70
Trialled up okay and was decent late against Bartley and Lion’s Roar. With three trials under the belt, should be well educated and fitness not an issue.
Canberra R5 #2 Promesa $16.40
Giving him another chance after the 4th first up. The third and fifth placed horses have both subsequently won and franked the form. Definitely worth something each way. Way over the odds the more I look at it.
Geelong R1 #12 Under the Tassels $14.80
Jumped out quietly when unnamed with Flash Flood. Flash Flood then subsequently won a nice race at Moonee Valley. Was ridden in the next jump-out but was against a few that have already won races. Still nice each way odds. Next Best #5 Dee Jay Cee.
Geelong R2 #3 Cometh the Hour $18.20
I thought he ran well on debut when making ground in the straight but running 3rd behind the red-hot fav. Extra distance should help. If #18 Bomber’s Kiss runs, I will be having something on each way.
Geelong R3 #9 Deepstrike $3.25
Massive run on debut at big odds. Niggled early at the rear to stay in touch but really like the way he let down in the straight. Will appreciate the step up in distance and might be a serious horse.
Absolute cracker of a maiden this one. Bubbly Lass has jumped out well on a few occasions. Looking better than Miss Hellbender to my eye in one of those jump-outs. I have had a decent bet on Free Wilma who has hardly been tested in both her jump-outs. She won the most recent and looked to be bolting. Looks nice. Was keen to back #3 Capriccio in most maidens after a nice jump-out recently beating Heptagon. Will have to settle with including her in exotics. #7 Masseuse can win, did well in the first preparation and has retuned well. #11 Tarcoola Diva has some ability and can run a place after failing on the heavy ground first up. #6 Joyous Tea has a nice action and has looked okay at the jump-outs. Boxing all them up in some wide exotics and backing Free Wilma straight out. Think a fair few can measure up in better races during the spring.
Geelong R9 #11 Infinite Matrix $4.00
Won a maiden last start but the 2nd placed horse was then sent to a listed race at Flemington and was not disgraced. Next best #3 Kuzco Lad took ages to break through but beat a few that go okay when winning the maiden.
Newcastle R1 #6 Reaching $1.52
Not great odds but should be able to go through the grades.
Both trialled well before their debut and will appreciate stepping up in distance. Alumna with the slight edge after beaten by Harlem Luya and that filly has subsequently won again. The 3rd placed horse in Himiko’s race has since won today too. Back both.
You guessed it, both trialled well before the first up runs. Yamazaki made ground at Wyong and will appreciate the Newcastle home straight. Air to Air went close first up and will no doubt improve fitness wise. House of Cartier would not shock at big odds.
