Garden Party is an interesting galloper. Trialled up in NSW a few times and caught the eye when looking strong late against Stoked, Enduring Night and Pieloce. Think will be better over distance so keep following. KORUTO looked to my eye better than Smokin’ Val in a jump-out and that galloper won her maiden by 4L.
BALAKLAVA R4 #10 GHARAAM $3.20
I thought she would be competitive on debut, but she might have bumped into a smart one. She still worked home well enough and the extra distance should help.
BENDIGO R1 #2 FIXATED $4.95 #5 RAAZOU #8 SENSATIONAL REWARD
Few nice types here. Will have to play the exotics because finding it hard to split them. FIXATED has bumped into a few handy ones in his short career, including Hanseatic and Doubtland. Spell looks to have been kind to him, recently looking good in a jump-out with Star Surprise and Rose of Sebring. RAAZOU and SENSATIONAL REWARD both made their debut in the same race and were only beaten by one that had race day experience as an advantage. They both jumped out well prior to that race and it is only a matter of time before they win a maiden. Next best for wider exotics to run a drum, #7 Sea Witness, #13 Gifted Miss, #11 Viscacha. F4 2,5,8/2,5,7,8,13./2,5,7,8,11,13.
BENDIGO R5 #7 INFINITE MATRIX $11.40
I think he is progressive. He beat Ironedge at Sale and that galloper has subsequently been sent to Flemington to run in a listed race. #4 Branders Rule caught the eye when running 4th at Caulfield behind Our Playboy.
WARWICK FARM R2 #3 MALKOVICH $5.10
I thought he would be extremely hard to beat first up. He looked to be flying in the trials but unfortunately found a couple better on the day. Not jumping off just yet, will strip fitter and hopefully can bounce to the front and prove to quick.
