FLEMINGTON R8  #9  TYDEUS $10.20

This colt just keeps improving every start. He put away a nice field at Bendigo and Rodd was very kind to him over the concluding stages. He has a nice turn of foot and looks a nice each way bet. Next Best #7 RANTING

FLEMINGTON R9 #9  SWATS THAT $4.40    #18  AMURI $27.50

I loved SWATS THAT jump-out up the straight. She cruised along with some handy types including Viridine and Tofane. I think she is in for a good spring.  AMURI has jumped out nicely. She looked to travel better than Tanaawol in her first jump-out. That galloper has subsequently won. The next jump-out she beat Forever Free and that filly is undefeated with three wins. I have backed both.

ROSEHILL R9 #8  STAR KAREN $23.50

I loved the way she went through the line in the recent trial at Rosehill. The speedy Haut Brion Her won the trial but this mare made some nice ground under her own steam. Keep following her. #16 KINGSHEIR has some upside.

KEMBLA GRANGE  R1 #6  MIGHTY JIM $17.40

I liked the way he made ground in the first trial. Disappointing in both race starts but given plenty of time to mature and blinkers go on for the first time.

KEMBLA GRANGE R7  #8  MIGHTBEEL $22.50  #7  KERMAJACK $22.50

Like what I have seen from these Waller first starters. MIGHTYBEEL has made good ground under is own steam in a few trials against a few horses that have subsequently won their maidens, including Numbers Game and Rocketing By. He may need further but hopefully he opens up good odds and we can have something decent each way. Expect him to be flying home late. KERMAJACK worked through the line under a quiet ride in the most recent trial.

MORPHETTVILLE R2 #2 FRANKIE PINOT  $2.35 #8  KUMO SUN $5.10

FRANKIE is lightly raced and looks to have some upside. KUMO SUN has been lacking that killer punch late but a drop back in distance and residual fitness should help.

WARRACKNABEAL R1 #3  MARKETING $4.65

I thought he looked a nice type when jumping out before the debut. He beat Zorro’s Dream and Taygeta. Unfortunately, he then ran poorly at Swan Hill, but the market expected him to run a lot better, sending him out as the equal fav. He has been given some time to improve and prepared to give another chance.

WARRACKNABEAL R2 #1  BOOM BOOM SWEET $2.95 #9  MY GIRL TRUDY $10.60

BOOM BOOM has always looked better than maiden grade. Another one that has been given some time and can definitely win this if anywhere near right. Weak race. MY GIRL TRUDY went much better last start.

GRIFFITH R3 #12 JAC MAGIC $3.25

I thought she battled on well enough when on debut. Did not have the clearest of paths in the straight and has no weight on her back here.
