Richmond V Fremantle
Richmond (-31.5) @1.88
The Tigers are re-playing an all so familiar tale, winning 5 of their last 6 matches after starting the season with 3 losses and a draw. As a result, they now sit within striking distance of the top 4, making a win here against the 14th placed Dockers crucial.
Many of their top tier players are hitting their straps at the best time. Bachar Houli looks to have gotten back to his best against the Eagles after a long layoff with Lynch and Martin combining for 5 goals.
The Dockers have been solid this season, but I don’t see them being able to stop the Tiger freight train.
West Coast Eagles V Essendon
Essendon Bombers by 1-24 @3.80
The Eagles will start as favourites this game and for good reason, winning 8 of their last 9 matches. Although, the Bombers represent value at $3.80 to win by 1-24.
All 6 of Essendon’s wins this season have been by a margin of less then 20, indicating an inability to put teams away. They will regain their skipper in Heppel as well as their best defensive player in Hurley, and with Daniher having a game under his belt, this is the best team that the Bombers have fielded in 2020.
The Eagles are the clear favourites and are likely to win, but $3.80 represents too much value to pass up.
Brisbane Lions vs Collingwood
Brisbane Lions to win @1.44
The Lions will lace up their boots once again at their preferred stadium of choice (The Gabba) as they take on the struggling Magpies.
Collingwood have managed to string together two wins in a row, but they came against the Kangaroos and the Blues, whilst the Lions put away St Kilda in their most recent outing, and are heading into this match off the back of a bye.
It is difficult to see Collingwood pulling out a win this round given their injury list and facing a top 4 team coming off a break. To further boost Brisbane, Rich is expected to return for the Lions after experiencing hamstring tightness
