I think these clearly look to have more upside than the rest of the field. Can not make a dollar out of backing both so I will be having something on the quinella.
AKAKA FALLS ran well on debut at Sale. Was not beaten far and should improve greatly fitness wise from the run, only had a few short jump-outs leading into that debut. FRANKIE PINOT is lightly raced and been given time. Beat home Game Keeper last start. Will also be having something very very small on Sobriety, only because if it got up at $100’s and I was not on, I would lose the plot.
SALE R3 #9 BIG FLASH $4.05
He looks to have a good amount of natural speed this bloke. He caught the eye in a few jump-outs when unnamed and most recently was more impressive when winning the third jump-out against some handy proven gallopers. He hummed along out in front down the home straight with Easy Beast and All Hard Wood behind. The jockey also had a cheeky look around, which I like. Hopefully, he can go forward from the inside barrier and use that natural speed to have them chasing. Next Best for exotics, He’s a Balter, Alovelybrownhorse, and Cellbridge have all shown some glimpse of ability at the jump-outs.
SALE R4 #6 HOLSTER $3.15
Hard to beat here. Not beaten far first up when running 2nd. The 3rd and 4th placed horses have both franked the form by winning since. Will be better 2nd up.
SALE R5 #9 INFINITE MATRIX $7.70
Finds a very winnable race here at great each way odds. Ran well on debut and the 4th placed horse Redsnap has subsequently franked the form by winning a maiden.
Small bets here compared to the maiden races. MAGNOLIA MAN was jumping out well before the Aus debut, he carried on like a pork chop and was very wide. Forget he ran. WHIPCRACKER WAY looks to have come back well from a spell. Looks to be moving well and has a nice action.
WYONG R3 #10 TOUGH CASE $22.50
Showed good fight first up at Casino when running 2nd to Swatch. Swatch looks to have above average ability and this gelding made him work for the win. Can roll forward and give a good sight at odds with no weight on the back after the claim. Danger #2 Kiss and Tell.
WYONG R7 #8 ISABELLA OF ARAGON $14.20
Looks to have really improved in the time off. Loved the recent trial when she made good ground to join the speedy Ball of Muscle after the winning post. Might be a bit short today but keep following.
CASTERTON R1 #2 METEORANO #6 WRITTEN IN HISTORY
Both of these have been jumping out okay for a weak maiden. MY GIRL TRUDY put in a much better performance last start and a repeat of that effort, would go close here.
MUDGEE R4 #2 CHEVCONI
Very impressive when winning on debut for us. Should be able to go through the grades and possibly end up in town on a Wednesday or Saturday. If no luck from the wide barrier, danger looks to be #3 ENTREAT.
