TENACIOUS LAD was slow out of the gates at the trials and took a while to get going but I thought his work through the line was good enough for something further. The trial included Thermosphere who is a group 3 winner. Blinkers go on. DISENGAGE should go forward and give a good sight. Beat by Torun last time out and that galloper has subsequently run well in town.
HAWKESBURY R3 #8 REACH AROUND $30.00
Fair dinkum how does some of these names get through. She was run off her legs a bit in the first trial, behind a few that look to go well, including Torun, Single Tonite and both Godolphin runners. The next trial she was okay again, against a few that have already won races. #9 RUSSBUSS was the other one that caught my eye at the trials.
HAWKESBURY R4 #2 EYE SEE THINGS $6.50
She trialled very well leading up to the first up run. Only found Garrison too good there at Wyong and I think that form will stack up. They beat the rest easy. Next best #3 LET IT POUR has contested some group races and this looks the easiest race she has ever contested. Stellar Pauline is in the same boat.
HAWKESBURY R5 #1 GARRISON $4.55
As mentioned, I think that form line with Eye See Things will stack up well. Now that he has broken the maiden can go on with it. Next best #3 EXOTIC RUBY
HAWKESBURY R8 #6 BETHENCOURT $2.45
Beat a handy one on debut who has subsequently won a couple of races. Trialled up well for a return here.
ETHEKWINI recently jumped out well down the Flemington straight with a couple I have a lot of time for, including Beauty Betty and Power Station. Should give a great sight on debut. SPANGIRL made a stack of ground in the first jump-out that caught my eye and recently won a jump-out beating a horse who had jumped out with Shock and Awe.
WARRNAMBOOL R3 #10 TYDEUS $1.96
Been waiting a while for this one and had a good bet. First got my attention when jumping out with stablemates Mystery Shot and Corner Pocket. Been given a few jump-outs since and won the latest by a margin. Also having something on the exotics and including #7 GRANDMA GAIL who beat Kasimba and Drop the Mic at the jump-outs and most recently beat Boom Boom Becker. Should win a maiden soon but hopefully has bumped into a handy one. Little saver on #6 FLASH FREDDIE who I made a note of jumping out when unnamed and looking decent against Danon Liberty and English Gambler. There is a good possibility it might not have been the right horse though because the most recent jump-out when named was terrible. Something small in case there is funny business going on.
