ROUGHIES

GRAFTON R1 #4  SHOWS PRIDE $23.50  #14  PERCONTATION $29.00

SHOWS PRIDE was very competitive over the shorter distances at the start of the preparation. He was only beaten by 1L first up and finished 4th second up, beaten less than half a length. The little freshen up might be the key. PERCONTATION looks worth something at the odds. Not sure what she was up against in that trial, but she looked to move okay and was not asked for much of an effort.

GRAFTON R2 #8  THOUSAND ISLAND $22.00

He was narrowly beaten on debut and has struggled a bit since. Did a bit of work early last start and was entitled to feel the pinch late. Resumes here after a decent spell and may race better fresh.

BALLARAT R1  #5 WINNING SUPERSTAR $2.00    #2 TOKARA HABU $22.50

He jumped out well before the debut. Was wide early there at Donald and can finish off much better today if ridden with a bit of cover. TOKARA HABU was fairly poor on debut but did cover extra ground and was always well back. Not much looked to make ground from the back and deserves another chance.

BALLARAT R3 #3  KRSIPY KEV $2.10

Best performance last preparation was on debut and he ran 2nd behind the smart Master Montaro. First up here with the tongue tie going on, should see him hard to beat.

BALLARAT R4 #2  POWER STATION   $4.05

A few that have jumped out well here. On top I have POWER STATION who jumped out well when unnamed some time ago. Making good ground in one jump-out and was going to the lead after the winning post, that jump-out included Dimaggio. The next jump-out he was finishing well again to go past Marine Belle. Recently jumped out down the straight and finished in front of Beauty Betty. The only concern is he may be looking for further but hopefully settles in a forward enough position, plus we have to hope the Overs God is also feeling kind today. Next best for the exotics is #6 IVY’S GARDEN stuck on ok at the Burrumbeet jump-outs and was alongside Magnavale. #7 MEEPO looks to have ability, won a jump-out in first gear over 900m. Can include #8 Sizzling Nymph in to fill a place and #1 Boom Boom Becker and hopefully we get a nice Tri/F4 collect.
