NARROMINE R2 #1  POTTS POINT $2.80

Not far off when finishing 3rd first up at Tamworth. Should take big improvement from the run because did not trial beforehand.

NARROMINE R3 #8 ZARIZ RAIDER $5.10

Trialled well enough in open company before the debut. Much improved run last start at Coonabarabran and has upside.

NARROMINE R7  #5 MAMELI $3.55

Very lightly raced, being a six-year-old with only the one start. The form stacked up ok from that maiden win with the 2nd and 3rd placed horses going on to win.

CRANBOURNE R1 #9  MISS MEILLAND $6.60

Ran well first up at Wangaratta on the heavy. Would be very competitive with a repeat performance.

CRANBOURNE R2 #1 HOUSAY  $6.50 #4  CARDICE $3.20

The official trial from HOUSAY was fairly good. It was a while ago, but he did beat home Lake’s Folly at Cranbourne. Recent jump-out against Free Spin and Answer Me Hussey suggest there is some ability there. CARDICE ran 2nd to Rock Prophet at Sale and 2nd to King of Hastings at Cranbourne. Repeat of one of those performances would see a win here. Include #2 MISTER MONARO and #3 NIC THE DANCER in exotics.

CRANBOURNE R3 #5 JOCAT $2.25

Rubbed up punters the wrong way when losing first up as short fav. Jump-out this preparation was too good to ignore, matching motors with Bon’s Away and No Frontiers. Getting decent odds this time for a horse who should be too good for a maiden.

CRANBOURNE R4  #6  SOBRIETY   $26.50 #1 COMPARDY $4.85

COMPARDY gets the blinkers for the first time which may sharpen him up. Not a strong maiden. Sobriety must be showing something at home if they decide to race on the quick back up.

CRANBOURNE R5 #10  RAGNARS BRIDE $4.10

Beaten by Rich Hips last preparation. Then beat Look Sharpish who goes well. Recent jump-out suggest ready to take the next step, matching motors with Diamond Effort.

MORUYA R1 #1 PROMESA  $3.95  ROUGHIE #3  ZERO ALFA $53.00

PROMESA has always shown he would be capable of knocking off a maiden somewhere. Given plenty of time and recent trial against a few winners was good enough for this. ZERO ALFA was poor early first up but got home ok and will appreciate the slight rise in distance.

MORUYA R2 #5 THINK RUSH $8.80

Originally with Grahame Begg and called Mensa. Was catching the eye at the jump-outs very early on and was not beaten far in both race starts. Given a little hit-out in recent trial so should be competitive here first up.

MORUYA R6 #2 MR MAGICAL $

Looks to have a future, Highway form should prove hard to beat here.
