I thought this mare showed enough at her only trial to be very competitive on debut. She was not asked for much of an effort and went to the line under her own steam with Hamogany.

Ran well here last start when running 2nd behind Langworthy. Did not get much luck and had trouble building any momentum because he kept running up backsides when trying to make a run before the turn. Once clear he did run home in the fastest last 200m of the race and the 2nd placed horse Diamond Moments has since run 2nd.

Obviously limited, still being a 13-start maiden but did put in a sound run here first up. He was wide with no cover but still battled on bravely to run 3rd. The winner Diesel ‘n’ Dust has subsequently run well at Moonee Valley in a strong Saturday race, only beaten half a length by Hard Landing. This guy will be fitter and might get a better run if he can find the lead.

This galloper should just win. He has contested some pretty hot races as a colt, including some group races and was not beaten far on debut, when running 2nd in a group 3. He has been gelded and jumped out well on a few occasions in preparation for this. Next best for exotics, #1 BROTHER FOX has trialled under his own steam at Canterbury and has been given plenty of time to improve. #7 VILLA VILLEKULLA jumped out well prior to the debut and was beaten by one that looks handy. A few that look big overs that can be included to run a drum for the Tri and F4’s, #2 CLINGSTONE PEACH ran 2nd behind Alphaville three starts ago. #9 MYTHICAL GODDESS definitely enough ability to win a maiden and can run a cheeky race fresh if allowed to go forward. Last but not least #8 CLEAN HANDS was against limited opposition at her only trial, but she was not overly tested and has been given plenty of time to improve. F4/TRI   #4/1,2,7,8,9. Also will be having a couple dollars on the boxed Tri and F4 in case the fav finds some trouble.

These two gallopers both went around in the same recent trial. They look to me like they will run the quinella and that is how I will be betting. Winning that trial, they both contested was Tivoli Street who is much better than maiden grade.
