TIANA GIA was jumping out well before the debut and looked to travel well alongside Telekinesis at the Ballarat jump-outs. Telekinesis has subsequently won his maiden by 4L. The first start was a bit disappointing, but she was strong enough through the line to suggest the 1200m is a good target. She could also improve getting on to the turf track and not facing any kickback from the synthetic. SACRED SNOW travelled well when winning a St Arnaud jump-out, beating stablemate Wise Counsel. Ciaron Maher spoke fairly highly of Wise Counsel when doing an interview on racing.com. Sacred Snow then looked fairly good winning another jump-out at St Arnaud beating A Beautiful Night and Incredulous Dream. JOCAT would go to any maiden and be hard to beat, recently crossing the line with Bons Away and No Frontiers, can go in all exotics and if does not win today, will be soon. #13 CELLBRIDGE included in Tri and F4.
DONALD R2 #3 WINNING SUPERSTAR $2.35
This grey gelding looked ok when jumping out at Caulfield with a few nice types, including Sweet Snitty and The Gauch. He then looked to lengthen out nicely when asked for an effort at the St Arnaud jump-outs, beating Youwishjellyfish, Cake Walker and Young Rascal. Next Best #2 EXCUSES EXCUSES hoof on the till and step up in distance a big tick.
DONALD R3 #15 STELLAR WITNESS $6.40
This mare was ok when stepping up to the 1600m for the first time at Murtoa. Can be a big improver back on to the dry after going around on the heavy 8 last time. Finds a weak maiden.
RANDWICK R1 #9 FLING $7.90
Been winning with ease since making the trip up north from Victoria. This is obviously harder but has no weight on her back. Can go forward and hopefully pinch it. Next Best Badoosh.
RANDWICK R2 #15 MR MAGICAL $3.45
I thought he was really brave last start when running 2nd in the Highway race. He sat outside the lead that day and was only beaten by Tallis who was favoured by the inside bias on the day. He is only lightly raced and can improve again.
RANDWICK R5 #8 DERBARI $2.40
I want to keep following this gelding up in distance and he has no weight on his back at all. Should be finishing with a burst.
GILGANDRA R1 #1 PASS THE CARD $2.05
Beaten by a fairly handy one last start. With the two runs under the belt this time in, should have a class and fitness edge on this lot.
Keep On Fighting has jumped out well on a few occasions. Recently went around with a few that are above average, including Sweet Snitty. Winning Superstar was also in one of those jump-outs and has since looked good winning a jump-out himself. I would say the stable must have some opinion to target this race when they could go to any maiden. SAW THAT COMING went well enough on debut to be competitive here. Blondeau has since won and franked the form.
THE VALLEY R3 #5 CLEAN MACHINE $3.90
Looks to have ability and was only narrowly beaten when resuming at Caulfield. She should improve sharply off that run. #7 ESTA LA ROCA won well last start when ridden in a forward position and can be competitive again. #10 WIDE AWAKE looks over the odds after a nice win first up here at the same track.
THE VALLEY R4 #4 BROOKLYN HUSTLE $2.50
Looked pretty special when winning on debut, beating subsequent Everest winner Yes Yes Yes. If anywhere near right, she should be hard to beat.
KEMBLA GRANGE R4 #6 FREETHINKER
EX Victorian who finished 4th behind a subsequent listed race winner Supreme Idea on debut. Next start had excuses when losing a plate in the run and has been gelded. Each way odds.
