MOE R2 #1  BAIT ZAIN  $22.00 #3 BOSSY DAME $22.00

Willygood will be hard to beat and will go into the exotics but I thought Bait Zain deserves another chance at the odds. She over raced last start at Seymour and only felt the pinch late over the 1300m. back to the 1200m should suit and the tongue tie goes on. #3 BOSSY DAME jumped out ok on a few occasions, beating home subsequent winner Ajay’s Ace. Most recently she crossed the line with Chica Bonita and Fighting Whiskey. Forgiving the first up run, was resuming after a long spell and did look a chance halfway up the straight before weakening.

MOE R3 #8 MASTOBAL  $4.05

This filly went around in a very hot trial back in March this year. Knowles won the trial, beating the talented La Chevalee, that filly won a benchmark 78 recently at Flemington. There were also a few other multiple winners including Sizzlefly and The Mobot. This filly was given a very quiet time at the back by rider Mertens but still finished on the heels of the leaders after the winning post. There has been a bit of time since that trial, but she has resumed with a jump-out at Cranbourne where she looked to have good natural speed and enough ability to give any maiden a big shake on debut. Loving Gracie was also in that official trial and has since broke her maiden status.

MOE R4 #8  STANNARY $3.15  ROUGHIE #12 DEBULLET $23.50

This Tavistock gelding finished very strongly when first up at Sale. The winner Category Five has since won again when stepping up in grade. This guy will be fitter for the run and step up in distance will benefit. DEBULLET was off the bit chasing early on debut but kept finding and battled on okay through the line. The race rated well on the clock for maiden class and the 7th placed horse Sheeza Factor has subsequently ran 3rd at Echuca.

MOE R8 #8  RONNANI $17.20

This filly took a while to breakthrough for her first win, but I think she can go on with it now. She won in style at The Valley and Michael Walker was pretty kind to her late. She looked to get through the heavy conditions with no worry.

Trialled well when resuming this preparation, beating Sawtell. He should take good improvement fitness wise from the run at Gosford and if they can roll forward, could give a sight at odds. Next best #9 FIGHTFORYOURRIGHT showed some ability when in Victoria and gets a few gear changes.

Lobban Leroy won well on debut and Miss Goodnight deserves another chance after being eased out of the race at Grafton when resuming.
