WARRNAMBOOL R2 #3  UMCULO $4.55

This gelding on debut has jumped out well enough in decent company to be competitive here. He went around in a heat at Casterton in June, finishing 3rd behind Composed Legend and not beaten far by Zero Doubt. The most recent jump-out was a bit hard to get a guide because the strong fog meant there was only vision of the final 50m but he did look to be under his own steam, finishing 3rd behind a two that go around in the first race, Royal Exit and Champagne Witness. Royal Exit looked to be travelling the better there late between those two if having a bet in the first. Next best is #7 JUNGLE PRINCESS has caught the eye in her first preparation at the jump outs but has since had a long time off and I was not sure what to make of her recent jump-out at Pakenham. Will include her in exotics with Umculo.

WARRNAMBOOL R3 #2  FOUR OUTLAWS $10.20

I tipped this son of Reset on debut after watching a jump-out at Casterton. He looked to be under a hold late from the jockey but still made ground after the winning post against a few that have already won races. He was then ok on debut but was only getting warm late over the 1100m and should improve sharply getting out to the 1400m here. Looks a nice each way bet again. Next Best #12 KOKO CONNECTION who drops a few kg’s and comes from a fast run maiden. #9 SKI ZOOM has some ability but does not seem to be finishing off her races, hard to trust.

WARRNAMBOOL R4 #4 SOUTHERN LIGHTS $4.00  #8 MARVELLOUS MAY $6.10

SOUTHERN LIGHTS has shown a decent amount of ability at the jump-outs and trials. He returned this preparation finishing 3rd behind the smart Hypersonic at Murray Bridge. Hypersonic has since won again and the 2nd placed horse Deevine has also subsequently won. MARVELLOUS MAY looks to have some ability, beating home There you Are in a Burrumbeet jump-out and then travelled well alongside Aasira in a jump-out at Casterton. Backed both and included #7 Fashionetti in exotics.

BALLINA R3 #2  MARSHALL DILLON $1.96

Been going well enough in each career start. He finds a race he should have a fitness edge on a fair chunk of the field. Next Best #7 Swanston looked ok at the trials.

KEMBLA  GRANGE R2 #8 GLOBAL QUEEN $1.54

This filly ran well enough at Canterbury on debut. She finished 4th behind Sprout Wings but was hampered near the 150m mark, which most likely made the margin a bit unfair. I think she can settle in a more forward position today and prove hard to run down. Next Best #5 HONEY GO LIGHTLY I have been with this filly nearly every start this preparation and thought she would have knocked off a maiden by now, but she has looked a bit weak late at her past couple of starts.

KEMBLA GRANGE R4 #7  ON THE LEAD $1.84

This colt’s last start was in a group 2 race. He finished 5th but was behind a couple smarts ones in Farnan and Tagaloa. Trials this time in have been ok and he should be hard to beat here.

KEMBLA GRANGE R5 #4 FLASH POINT $4.85

This filly looked good when winning on debut at Hawkesbury. I think she will keep improving and will be better once she steps up in distance but definitely going well enough to win again here.
