PAKENHAM R7 #5   THE DUKE OF HAZARD  $5.30 #9  KHALEEJ $7.10

The Duke of Hazard over raced in the early stages when on debut at Pakenham. He also had to wait until he was halfway up the straight before he could get any momentum to run on after being stuck behind horses. His work through the line was good and he should be very competitive today. KHALEEJ was showing some ability at the jump-outs prior to the debut at Cranbourne. Will improve with the run under the belt and the 3rd placed horse Esta La Roca has subsequently won easy, beating Frederick the Dane.

WODONGA R2 #2 CHEVAL DE FRISE $5.70

He ran well enough last start to be competitive here. The winner Nasukawa has subsequently won again when stepping up in grade. I am confident the 4th placed horse Good and Proper has some ability and the 5th placed horse Astrid’s Comet has since run well, finishing 2nd behind one that goes well.

WODONGA R4 #10  DELEGATED $12.20

I liked this filly’s run at Pakenham when she was really strong through and after the line over the 1400m. The leader Enbarr was then able to dictate terms at Warracknabeal while she over raced towards the tail of the field but still worked home nicely again to run 3rd. The rise in distance should not be an issue and hopefully she can get some speed on in front. #1 CHINA GROVE ran well on debut after jumping out decent. Can win a maiden soon but big ask to run 2050m first up. #NUBE VIAJERA looks suited out to this distance. Also including #8 BUTTERCUP BABY in Tri and F4’s.

NARRANDERA R1 #9  KAH TEE UH $8.50

I liked the trial from this filly. She looks to have a nice action and the jockey sat fairly quiet on her when running 4th in that trial behind Supplyzing.

NARRANDERA R2 #11 SAINT HENRY $6.80

Last chance today. Both races this time in have rated well on the clock for that class and may just be a better horse on a dry track. No good today, then he is definitely in the sack book.

SCONE R3 #8 SKY LAB $5.50  #6  DON’TFORGETMONICA $4.15

Sky Lab was good on debut when motoring home late to run the fastest last 200m of the race. The form from that race has stood up with the winner Cecilia going close to winning again when up in grade. The 2nd and 4th placed horse have also gone on to win. The danger looks to be DON’TFORGETMONICA who I found at the trials before her debut but was disappointing last start when running 3rd.

SCONE R4 #8  SPIRANAC $3.80

Having something on Spiranac to win and also including the rest in exotics. Spiranac trialled well in her first preparation and looks to have come back in good order with a recent trial at Muswellbrook.

The winner of that trial Dirado has since run well enough on debut and was beaten less than a length. The 3rd placed horse Syd’s Footprints has won four races.  #10 ANANAGRAM tipped him both starts this preparation after a decent trial and looks suited out to the 1100m. #11 PINNACLE PRINCE is a two-year-old colt who has trialled well twice now against the older gallopers. Beating Dancing Dollar in the latest trial who looks to have some ability. Lastly including #9 TRUTH SERUM who can hopefully run a drum for the exotics at big odds, could have improved during the break and run a cheeky race fresh.

SCONE R5 #14  DISOBEDIENT $14.40

Was entitled to feel the pinch late when first up at Scone after covering ground with no cover. Can give another chance at odds.
