MURTOA R1 #2  FOUR OUTLAWS $18.20

I think this son of Reset will run a cheeky race at odds here. He went around in a Casterton jump-out and looked to be under a hold late but still made some ground to join the winner, Leila’s Star after the winning post. Leila’s Star has subsequently been beaten less than a length in benchmark 58 grade. Savvy Boy was there he has won a couple races. The fav Summer Lover does look hard to beat but I would rather have something on this guy at the odds.

MURTOA R2 #5  JAZZLES $1.60

She looked to handle the heavy-going last start and the 2nd behind Nasukawa looks good enough for this. Nasukawa has franked the form by winning again up in grade. The 5th placed horse has since ran well behind one that looks above average.

MURTOA R3  #9  SILK JACKET  $3.85 #10  STELLAR WITNESS $8.40

Silk Jacket bumped into a few smart ones in her first preparation. She ran 2nd behind Southern Moon at Donald, that colt went on to run 2nd in the group 1 Victoria Derby. She then finished behind Highland Jakk who has gone on to race in much better grade. STELLAR WITNESS butchered the start at Warracknabeal when first up, Yendall sticks and she looks to have enough ability to win a maiden.

MURTOA R7 #8  GUNSABLAZIN’ $11.80

He was big odds when winning at Bendigo last start, but it was no fluke. He covered ground with no cover and was still too strong through the line, winning in good time for that class. Now the penny looks to have dropped, he can be competitive again.

TAMWORTH R1 #3  POTTS POINT $3.40

I liked the trial at Gunnedah. She was beaten a distance by Miss Casier, but that mare has won four races and Potts Point closed the gap after the winning post. Two runs last preparation she finished behind a few that go decent and if she has improved at all, should go very close.

TAMWORTH  R4 #5 ENTREAT $3.55

Has her hoof on the till running 2nd at her past three starts. Praline beat her at Dubbo and has franked the form by winning up in grade.

TAMWORTH R5 #5  CECILIA $2.95

She has good natural speed this filly. She can use that inside draw to go forward again without using too much petrol. The last start win rated well on the clock for that class and the 2nd placed horse Yulong Base has franked the form by breaking his maiden status.
