ROUGHIE

WAGGA R2 #15  ROCK ‘N’ TORI $12.20

I thought she trialled well enough when making ground after the winning post on Enzed Beer. On debut she was slowly away but still ran ok in what has turned out to be a fairly strong maiden with a few subsequent winners. She then caught my eye late when going to Wagga for her second start, she looked to appreciate the step up in distance and found the line well in a race that rated well on the clock for that class.

WAGGA R6 #8 STAR OF TENNESSEE $1.60

She won very easily last start and was not ridden out late. She looks promising and this does not look a strong race.

WARRACKNABEAL R2 #1 ARACHNATTACK $7.10

Ran well enough first up when carrying a bit of weight and finishing 5th behind a speedy one called Big Boys Girl. Should strip fitter for the run and hopefully can go forward from the inside barrier and prove hard to catch.

WARRACKNABEAL R3 #2  EXCUSES EXCUSES  $9.60  #7  STELLAR WITNESS $8.00

Caught my eye in a jump-out before the debut when matching motors with Soul Star. He then found himself well back on debut at Swan Hill but did make some ground in the straight to run 3rd, finishing with the fastest last 400m of the race. He should be in the finish today if he can settle closer than last start. STELLAR WITNESS has always shown some level of ability and has changed stables.

WARRACKNABEAL R4 #13  DELEGATED $8.70

I thought her work through the line last start at Pakenham was really nice. The step up in distance to the 1800m looks ideal. The form from the Pakenham race has been fairly good with the 2nd placed horse Tovolo Gap winning yesterday. Big Acheeva has subsequently won and He’s Wow Class was only narrowly beaten yesterday. She looks a great bet here at eachway odds.

WARRACKNABEAL  R5 #2  BEETWENTYNINE $3.80

He won well last start when stepping up the 2000m. The form from the race has been ok with the 3rd placed horse Honour Me going on to win his next two race starts. He has drawn a good barrier, and this is not the strongest race.

MOREE R1 #3  PASS THE CARD $2.30

He has trialled well enough in open class to win a maiden. Been given plenty of time to improve and if ridden positively out of the gates, can go forward and be very hard to run down.
