MORUYA  R1  #8  SIFU $2.15

I thought this filly trialled well at Moruya when beating Belfast Bella. She then ran really well on debut at Canberra, only finding one better there in Turfeze, that galloper had the advantage of race day experience and fitness. #7 RED KANZI is the big danger, I was keen on her to make a winning debut at Wagga after a good trial at Goulburn. In that trial she did it all under her own steam and finished close to Intuition. He has subsequently gone to Flemington and was only beaten 1.3L by I Am Someone. This filly was then caught wide on debut and deserves another chance. Confident they can run the quinella.

This filly comes through the same race as Sifu, so we should get a guide there in the first. I tipped her last start as a chance at odds and she narrowly missed third place but does look to be improving with each run. I have a decent opinion of the winner of that race, Fenech so I believe the form from that race should hold up.

SCONE R1 #7  DON’TFORGETMONICA   $4.25      #5  CECILIA $4.95

I thought Don’forgetmonica improved a stack when the blinkers went on in the 2nd trial. Her work through the line was really strong and I got the impression she would have a good sprint if the jockey asked her for an effort. #5 CECILIA ran well last start at Taree. She found trouble at the 600m mark and did a good job to pick herself up and still attack the line. I expect her to be in a forward position today and take some running down.

SCONE R2 #4   NEVERCAN   $21.50  #11   SHUKKAS $30.00

Having a couple dollars eachway on these roughies. NEVERCAN trialled decent at Quirindi when rolling along in a forward position and beat home a few that go ok, including Bajan Gold and Pomme La Belle. His run at Gunnedah had merit when running 4th behind More than a Samba, the form has been franked from that maiden with De Goey recently breaking his maiden status with a 4.17L win. He could have also improved in the time off. SHUKKAS has been disappointing but I thought she finished off well last start over the 900m. If she can repeat that performance, I would not be surprised to see her in the finish.

SCONE R3 #13   ENTREAT   $4.15 #14   TARIFF TRUMP $10.20

ENTREAT has her hoof on the till and should knock off a maiden very soon. This does not look a strong field and gets her chance today. TARIFF TRUMP is in the same boat, narrowly defeated last start and a repeat performance would see her in the finish again.

I liked her jump-outs before the debut at Wangaratta. I thought she was a big chance to win on debut and was disappointed with the 3rd, but she may have switched off a bit when hitting the front early.  The race rated well on the clock for that class and the winner has subsequently ran well again in town. Worth another chance at each way odds here.

Has trialled in decent company this guy. In February at Cranbourne, I liked the way he hit the line under riding to finish alongside Answer Me Hussey who has since won a maiden. Piemonte was there, that gelding has won a couple races. The next trial he finished near Designer Chef who has won two races. He should give you a good sight at odds. #12 TOYETIC looks to go well too and is worth including in exotics with #5 AIRSTREAM. Backing The DUKE eachway & Boxing 4,11,3,5,12 Tri-F4.
