KEMBLA GRANGE R1 #3  HAJIME NAOKI $6.60

I can not split a few here so I will be playing the exotics. Hajime Naoki trialled ok at the most recent outing, running 2nd, and beating home Gravina, that colt has some nice form with a win over Blondeau. #4 INTO THE FIRE recently travelled wide in his trial and beat home Jimmy’s Dream and Galierro, both those horses have subsequently been competitive at the races. Last but not least #5 MENDOORAN looks to have come back in good order, he was not tested in latest trial and behind under riding was Ficheur, that gelding has since won impressively on debut at cricket score odds, but did beat a few I have been keen on, Garrison and Royal Marine. Quin,Exacta,Tri.

KEMBLA GRANGE R2 #4  OOJOOBA $2.30

Probably stating the obvious but looks a two-horse race to me. I have backed You Rang on many occasions, her first up trial this preparation was good against Echo Gem and Embracer. She was urged along but they are much better than maiden grade gallopers that she beat. After watching the latest trial, I must be with OOJOOBA who was bolting alongside You Rang and if she has any turn of foot, should be breaking through today.

 KEMBLA GRANGE R5  #8  CALIFORNIA SKY $6.60

This gelding has had five trials, so fitness should not be an issue. He was ridden late in the most recent trial but so was Land Ahoy out wide, that filly has subsequently gone to the races and won by over 3L against the older horses.

MOE R1 #2  FRISSON $7.40

I gave him a chance on debut after he was not tested in a Werribee jump-out. He then ran very poorly at Mornington but prepared to give him another chance. He has since been back to the jump-outs and looked sharp with the blinkers going on, finishing not far off the speedy Fresh. I gave #10 Koko Connection a chance last start at Pakenham, some horses just do not go on the synthetic so I will be having something very small on to protect my sanity in case she bobs up at big odds.

MOE R2 #12  WILLYGOOD  $5.60     #5 MOSSCON $7.10

Interesting race this one. WILLYGOOD was $40 in some early markets and looks to have attracted a fair amount of support. I had in my notes that she beat home Not Enough Effort in a jump-out at Sale back in March, when unnamed. Not Enough Effort is a handy horse. The slight concern is always can you 100% trust that the names are correct and silks when watching the jump-outs out wide. More confident that it is correct in this circumstance with the weight of money. #5 MOSSCON has her hoof on the till and will knock off a maiden shortly, if not today.

ROUGHIE

MOE R3    #12 SCORIA STAR     $83.00    #2   MISTER MONARO  $5.10

I have tipped this two-year-old filly on a few occasions now. I thought she was ok on debut when making a bit of ground late. She was then disappointing at the second start but as I have mentioned previously some horses just do not handle the synthetic and can find it hard to make ground with the kickback. Prepared to give her one more chance with the blinkers going on today. Also having something on MISTER MONARO he was very competitive in a fast run race last start at Geelong. He won his most recent jump-out at Cranbourne, behind was Leale, that galloper has been racing very well in town.

MOE R4 #1 NUBE VIAJERA $11.20

I thought he ran well enough on debut at Geelong and looked to be wanting further. I am happy to give him another chance at each way odds after the poor last start run at Bendigo. #2 WRISTBAND can definitely win but I cannot back him again when he is still a maiden after seventeen starts.

MOE R7  #6  QUESADILLA $2.85

She took a few runs to breakthrough for a maiden win. Now that she has, I think she can go through the grades. There is a few here that have found their mark and she looks progressive.

CASINO R1 #4  MARSHALL DILLON $1.88

This gelding has trialled against his stablemate, Chazelles on two occasions now and been very competitive. Chazelles has won three races, including a class 2. He should be very competitive here on debut. #8 Shows Pride looked to show improvement last start at Grafton and will be fitter 2nd up.

CASINO R2  #11  QUKES $4.80

Been competitive this preparation and should be reaching peak fitness now 3rd up. This does not look a strong maiden.
