I liked the jump-out at Mornington when he was unnamed. He went over the line with Flirting who has subsequently won. Jenni Bad Cat was behind them and has since come out and won a maiden. He was heavily backed late at Bendigo to suggest he would run a good race on debut, but he was posted wide for the trip and still worked home ok. He should take improvement for the outing and be competitive here at his second start.

I have been with her both starts and do not see any reason to jump off now. She hit the line well on debut when running 2nd to Further In. The 4th placed horse Earl of Kendal has since franked the form by winning. She finished behind Stretto at her most recent run, that galloper has shown some ability, even though he took a while to break through for a win. The step up in distance looks ideal and she should be hitting the line well again. Next best #10 Paraphernalia.

This filly was in that jump-out that included Quintus and Flirting. She finished just in behind those two and crossed the line with Jenni Bad Cat. I thought she ran well on debut and was not beaten far behind a potential handy one called Zougazem. The form from the race has been really good with a few subsequent winners, including yesterdays winning tip Sacer Vates. I expect her to go close here and looks nice eachway odds. If you wanted to include a few roughies for exotics, #3 EQUIWHO and #5 STINGA could run a place at odds.

Regular followers would know I have been with this filly every start. She finally broke through last start when stepping up over the 2000m and could not have been more impressive when winning by 3.3L. That race rated well on the clock for a maiden and this benchmark 58 does not look much harder.

Shown some ability when trialling at Wodonga. She was whipped but stuck on with Splendoronthegrass. That galloper recently won a benchmark 64 at Sandown. The debut was good, she was beaten by Demanding Mo who, that galloper went on to win the Albury Guineas. The only unknown is the heavy track, otherwise she looks too good.

Getting a bit short now to call my roughie unfortunately, but I still feel she is nice eachway odds. I put her in the black book when she trialled at Tatura and made good ground after the winning post, behind the quick Maktabba. She did not have the best of luck on debut and never got a chance to build up much momentum in the straight when running into backsides. I think she will be better once she steps up in distance but still a good eachway chance today. #2 SUPER DOUTE’S is the obvious danger and deserves a saver.

I tipped this lightly raced gelding on debut. He had shown some ability in trials and I thought he was brave at his first race start. He looked beaten halfway up the straight but looked to show good fight and was coming again on the line. Next Best #10 TOUGH CASE limited but if he found the front, he will take some catching.
