I tipped her last start when she was resuming at Moe. She had caught my eye in a few trials early on but was coming off a long spell, with a year since her debut. The debut run was a 4th behind Tofane, she has since won a group 1. I thought she looks to have come back in good order this time, running 2nd behind Commodus, he had his hoof on the till going into that race and was coming from an Australian Guineas run three starts ago. Next best #3 CATEGORY FIVE contested some maidens that have rated well on the clock and has jumped out ok recently.

BENDIGO R3 #4  HOROWITZ  $6.60 #6  QUINTUS $6.60

This is a race that I will be playing exotics and boxing up the chances. I have #4 HOROWITZ on top, another one I tipped last start. He was slightly disappointing, but he did have Terry Bailey declare him a moral during the day, surely that could not have helped his chances ha-ha. He had jumped out well going into that first up run and loomed up on the turn there at Cranbourne stylishly but did not let down like I expected him too. He may have needed the run and deserves another chance here 2nd up. I have #6 QUINTUS as a big danger, he won a jump-out at Mornington untested when unnamed and then backed it up with another good one when he was ridden to beat Jenni Bad Cat and Flirting. The more I think about it, he is worth having something on to win. #16 NOBLE CLASS trialled well against winners early on and looks to be improving with racing. #1 ALLOUT STROPIE looks a big animal, was under own steam in a jump-out and then made ground in latest NSW trial. Last of all #17 MS MINNELLI has shown ability and comes out of a good form race. Apologies for including so many runners but we may get a few filling the places at big odds hopefully. First 4 & Tri 4,6,16/1,4,6,14,16,17

I thought he was rather good first up off a long spell. He made good ground in the straight to finish 4th and was up almost level with the winner a short distance past the winning post. He is up in grade here but gets a good drop in weight after lobbing 61kg last start and should appreciate the step up in distance.

I think this gelding comes out of the right form race. He was not far off when finishing 4th at Flemington, only beaten 0.6L behind promising smart galloper Alfa Oro. He should be reaching peak fitness now 3rd up.

This son of Deep Field has returned in good order this preparation. I liked the first up win at Ballarat, the 2nd placed horse Lani Bang Bang had looked decent at the jump-outs and looks to have a future. The 3rd placed horse Orazio has since been back to the races and won at Albury, beating a couple I have some time for. This guy looks to be progressive and can go through the grades.
