Echuca R2 #4 KUTAYHA $1.82

This son of Savabeel was competitive when on debut at Cranbourne. He ran 3rd and was beaten less than a length against a few horses who had a lot of extra fitness on there side and much more experience. He faces a weaker field here in my opinion than he did on debut and if he races to the level, he did there he should be winning this.

Echuca R3 #8 WICKLOW TOWN  $4.00   #7 SUNSHINE MOSHE $10.20

Last preparation Wicklow Town ran 4th behind Russian Camelot, beaten 4L but probably should have finished closer after being blocked for a run late in the straight. The 2nd placed horse Westbrook Park went on to win a benchmark 70 at Moonee Valley. The Moonlitegambler ran 3rd and recently ran 2nd in a group 3. Fair to say the form has been pretty good out of that race. The recent jump-out suggest the big break has done him well, he went to the line with Ocean’s Fourteen and Bowing was behind him. Both those gallopers are much better than maiden grade. #7 SUNSHINE MOSHE is the danger at odds and worth including in exotics with my top pick. I liked his trial when looking strong after the line against Mount Mitty.

Echuca R4 #6 SNIFTER $5.10

I am forgiving the debut run at Terang. He was wide early, and the winner Elegist is a smart galloper on his day, and he proved it by winning that maiden in fast time for that class. The recent jump-out at Kyneton suggest he will be hard to beat here. After the winning post he was in front of Southern Turf, Metro Boy, and Glass Ceiling. Metro and Glass have both subsequently won.

Echuca R7 #9      HEDLEY’S LADY $2.35

I have been following this filly since she made her debut. Fair to say I had to wait a while before she finally won a race and the wallet is also a lot lighter. Her last start win proved she has the ability there to progress further. She looked a much better racehorse when she was sent forward and gave them a galloping lesson, in fast time. Hard to beat.

Taree R3 #9  ZARU  $3.25  #1 LOBBAN LEROY $8.60

#9 Zaru I liked the trial when he finished 2nd behind Fair Dinkum, an older galloper that has won three races. Running 3rd was Manly Hanover, he has subsequently won a maiden. She should take natural improvement from the debut and be hard to beat here. Next best was #1 LOBBAN LEROY was not tested when beating home older galloper Bangalley Lad in a recent trial. Including #2 Montana Thunder in exotics.
