Ballarat R1 #17  KOKO CONNECTION

This two-year-old filly looks to have improved since her first preparation. She travelled under her own steam at her first jump-out this time in. Crossing the winning post in front and together was Out of Isolation and Mighty Murt. Out of Isolation has subsequently run a big 2nd on debut at Caulfield in a strong race and Mighty Murt has since run a competitive and close-up 3rd. Finishing 3rd was Free to Move who won his maiden yesterday at Moe.

Ballarat R3 #8  RONNANI $9.60

Hopefully third time lucky tipping this former Queensland filly. I thought she jumped out well enough to be competitive in a maiden at the start of this preparation. She looks to be improving at every start and should be fit enough to be in the finish today with the run over 1600m under the belt. Damien Oliver jumps aboard which must be a decent push that she is a chance today. Next Best #11 TIME TO DAZZLE finished alongside Ronnani last start at Cranbourne.

Kensington R1 #5 HEAD LEGISLATOR $4.25

Best Bet

This two-year-old colt has trialled well on a few occasions now. He ran 2nd at the first trial but was only narrowly beaten by an older galloper called Wudang Blade, he has won seven races. Finishing 3rd was Impasse, he has won six races. The second trial was against his own age group and he was never asked for an effort and crossed the line with Peltzer, a colt that is now two wins from two starts.

Kensington R4 #7  DIAMOND AND RUST $13.80

I thought her first trial this preparation was super. She really motored through the line and put a big margin on the field after the winning post. Winning that trial was Fituese, who has subsequently won both her starts since returning, including a listed race. Would not shock to see her run a good race fresh at eachway odds.

Pinjarra R1  #3  DUNBAR $1.31

Not a tip because too short but worth tuning in to watch him race. The son of Vancouver trialled well and could be pretty handy.
