Albury R5 #8   EUPHEMIA $15.40

I thought this filly ran well enough at her first trial and looks a good each way bet. She missed the start there at Tatura but her work late and past the winning post was good. She was on level terms with Intrigue after the line, who has since won a race. Kore was not far away, and she was competitive in a maiden that I have a feeling will turn out to be a decent form race. The 2nd trial at Tatura was good, she jumped away from the barriers better and made good ground again late behind a speedy one called Maktabba. Behind her was Blue Jean Baby and Little Mermaid, both winners. #5 BUDDEROO BLITZ will win a race soon and next best #1 Would Be King.

Cranbourne  R2  #4   HOROWITZ $2.75

He was a horse who I had a lot of time for early days. He has always jumped out in nice fashion against good company. On debut he was very fancied in the market but was very weak late after setting a very fast early pace with another runner. The other runner, Black Sage dropped out too but had run well prior, finishing 2nd on debut. He looks like he has returned in good order, jumping out at Geelong, and finishing in front of the well performed Fill the Flute, without being put under much pressure. Next best #3 FUDGING has jumped out well and would expect will win soon but just might bump into a smart one today.

Geelong R3   #6  NASUKAWA  $1.94    #5  MISTER DYNAMIX $15.20

#6 NASUKAWA has jumped out seven times, mainly at Caulfield so would expect fitness to not be an issue. He has jumped out with decent company on several occasions and has not looked out of place. In a recent jump-out he won beating Quantum Mechanic who subsequently ran 3rd in a listed race at Morphettville. #5 MISTER DYNAMIX I tipped this guy on debut after a jump-out at Terang in decent company. He ran well there at Warracknabeal, making good ground late in traffic and looks suited with the extra distance here. #1 APOLLO DREAM is big odds and worth including in exotics, ridden in latest jump-out but with Smart Charge who was recently only beaten 1.3L in a benchmark 70.

Scone R1  #3    LOST AND RUNNING $1.82

This guy was under the whip in his first trial but was up against some rather good ones. Including The Art of the Bar, Yao Dash, Grand Piano and Betcha Flying. Talk about throwing a horse in the deep end for their first trial. The two trials this time in, since spelling have been good and he will take a stack of beating, with any luck. Should win. #7 ALWAYS HOT is the blowout, close-up at recent start and comes in with no trial.
