Rail: +3m entire course
Weather: Fine, warm, windy Friday
Track Condition: Soft 6
Track Expectations: Rosehill is currently in the Soft range ahead of Saturday’s meeting. But with fine skies, warm temperatures and windy conditions on Friday, expect the surface to edge towards the Good range come race day.

Race 1 – SHOPPER MEDIA HANDICAP

The scratching of Dance Hall Girl leaves Can’t Find Snippy and Invictus Salute to take up the running. Lucicello is Group 3 placed and resuming here, she should be settling in striking distance and has the superior sprint.

Verdict: Lucicello @ $2.00

Race 2 – TAB HIGHWAY HANDICAP

A typically open Highway race but perhaps not as much genuine speed on paper as usual. Acquittal jumps sharply in trip and can settle closer from the good draw and should feature. Stablemate Southern Appeal is on the way up but this may come too soon.

Verdict: Acquittal @ $6.00

Race 3 – IRON JACK HANDICAP

Re Edit had no luck last time out at a crucial juncture. With the 2400m run under her belt she can bounce back, but it may not be enough to get the better of Angel Of Heaven. She has had no trouble in good company at 2200m prior, has the breeding and brings Vow And Declare form!

Verdict: Angel Of Heaven @ $2.50

Race 4 – RANVET HANDICAP

Falcon Island can find the front here – he’s rock hard fit coming off the Coonamble Cup win. Eugene’s Pick doesn’t need to be far away dropping in grade, while California Longbow is set to peak third up, gets the extra distance and the form behind Pancho stood up in the Bondi Stakes.

Verdict: California Longbow e/w @ $9.00

Race 5 – THE COUNTRY CLASSIC

Maid Of Ore draws wide in pursuit of a fifth straight win, but has 500m until the first turn to find the front. She’s well in with the claim and will be hard to beat. Gunga Din is still on the way up, he can track the mare across and run a race.

Verdict: Maid Of Ore @ $2.40

Race 6 – GOLDEN GIFT

A field of debutants or second starters racing for a share of $1 million. Tanker was a big winner on debut and Ben Allen comes up to ride. Won’t want to get buried away but has exposed talent. See You Soon will be flying late but the draw isn’t kind.

Verdict: Tanker @ $3.40

Race 7 – G2 HYLAND RACE COLOURS HOT DANISH STAKES

The Waterhouse/Bott pair of Vinicuna and Ready To Prophet can lead the Group 2. Reelem In Ruby (barrier 3) and Madam Rouge (barrier 4) go head to head again. If El Dorado Dreaming holds their backs from barrier 1 she provides an each-way opportunity at double figures.

Verdict: El Dorado Dreaming e/w @ $13.00

Race 8 – SCHWEPPES HANDICAP

Trumbull flopped out last start and still only went down a whisker. Gets a big jockey booking, extra 100m and weight drop for this. He’ll be making a big run from near the back along with Roosevelt.

Verdict: Trumbull @ $3.40

Race 9 – EDEN BRAE HOMES HANDICAP

High Shine has trialed since a pleasing first up effort. From a kind middle draw she’ll have a chance to peel out from midfield and challenge. Bergen ran out of gas late second up but will be prominent throughout.

Verdict: High Shine @ $6.50
