Racepal Warwick Farm Preview – 23rd October 2019

Date: 23 October
Rail: True entire course
Weather: Fine, low 20s
Track Condition: Good 4
Track Expectations: Back to a true rail on Wednesday which gives those swooping from the back a bit of extra real estate. Expecting a fair

Race 1 – CAMERA HOUSE PROMASTER HANDICAP

Irish Angel was only getting warm late over 1100m on resumption. The fillies ran a better time on the day than the colts, where Bondi Blue ran second. Both are quickly up to 1400m here and will set out in pursuit of designated leader Cock Match, who drops back from Group 2 level.

Verdict: Irish Angel  @ $5.40

Race 2 – BOWERMANS OFFICE FURNITURE HANDICAP

Breakdance led all the way last Wednesday and is on the back up. His form lines up with his main rivals through Maybach, who he rinsed at this track. Kentucky Diva is the main danger, her last win came when fourth up.

Verdict: Breakdance @ $1.96

Race 3 – CAMERA HOUSE PHOTO FINISHING HANDICAP

If Statuesquely and Sister Sledge run them along then Guise presents as an ideal each-way bet. The staying mare resumes at 1400m (she’s unbeaten up to 1900m) and will relish the tempo. So too will the fast finishing Sakura who will come with a late surge.

Verdict: Guise @ $8.00

Race 4 – THE AGENCY REAL ESTATE HANDICAP

Soldier Of Love can make the pact in front after racing further back than usual first up. Costas comes through the same race and is better suited here from a kinder alley. Tricky Gal has a will to win but there’s a few factors against here.

Verdict: Costas @ $5.20

Race 5 – CAMERA HOUSE MOVING PICTURES HANDICAP

A five-furlong dash that isn’t brimming with natural speed. It gives Trumbull the opportunity to camp close to the pace and challenge third up. Stephan comes into calculations with the claim, as does Appian Way on the minimum.

Verdict: Trumbull @ $3.25

Race 6 – PRESS STATEMENT @ VINERY HANDICAP

The only last start winner here is Julian Rock, who overhauled Live The Moment and King Hewitt last time out. With a question mark over that form, Foreign Territory is poised to take advantage from an on-speed position after racing well over an unsuitable 1200m first up.

Verdict: Foreign Territory @ $6.60

Race 7 – RIBCHESTER @ DARLEY HANDICAP

Trumbull also accepts here but draws wide. Vedder can make the pace with Zoushack camping just off him. He’s fresh for this after being scratched last week. Jetski could get buried from the draw while Dunbrody Power can charge late but will need to circle them all.

Verdict: Zoushack @ $4.25
