Rail Position: True
Dual Track Meeting: N
Track Type: Turf
Track Condition: Soft 5
Weather: Fine

Finally a Sydney feature meeting on a good track! Expect this will favour those up or near the speed but possible to run on under right circumstances, not too dissimilar to Caulfield.

Race 1

Humbolt Current is going well this prep and looks well placed to breakthrough. Master Shufood back out to a suitable distance range. Dr Drill can settle close from that low draw and will be in it a long way.

Verdict: Humbolt Current

Race 2

J Collett should be positive on Moss The Boss from that low draw. Storm Attack likely pushes across and joins him. They can potentially control this highway from near the front and look a decent two-horse play with not much speed engaged.

Verdict: Moss The Boss / Storm Attack quinella

Race 3

Cosmic Force is very smart, will spot them a start but love his turn of foot. Bellevue Hill one of the ones he will have to run down. Pandemic drops back in distance which suits, will be spotting a start to the lead bunch. Happy to swerve Accession.

Verdict: Cosmic Force

Race 4

Market all over Avantage in the early play but will be pressured for the lead by Con Te Partiro. Gem Song clearly the hardest to beat on pure ratings but Noire might be the value given how she finished off her race fresh. Will need them to hook along and finish over the top.

Verdict: Noire EW

Race 5

Good race for quality mares. Mizzy is low-flying but this is a deep race. Invincibellla so consistent and gets in ok at the weights given her record. Enticing Star the real boom horse but is short enough given the depth here.

Verdict: Mizzy

Race 6

Fancy Stampede will have some admirers here given he is the likely leader with strong form line. 2400m suits him to get control of the speed as well. Dabiyr is an untapped horse who will likely get his tail in the run. Scarlet Dream perhaps one run short.

Verdict: Dabiyr

Race 7

Small but quality field in the rose. Castelvecchio a run and distance block short I fancy, he is a smart horse though. Bivouac deserves top billing given the versatility, fitness edge and probably ideal distance range. Exceedance wants some speed on, Yes Yes Yes and Yao Dash right there too.

Verdict: Bivouac

Race 8

Just Thinkin’ hard to beat again, especially if the track is favouring the rail and leaders. Bounces to 1800m now. Shadow Hero a run short of a peak but good enough to win, Quick Thinker and Subedar right in this as well. The former looks untapped and will be making his luck near the speed.

Verdict: Quick Thinker

Race 9

Nothing like a raffle to finish off the quaddie. Irukandji goes up in grade after finally breaking through last start. Ranier trialled between his last run and maps sweetly here. Baller in his right grade will be competitive. Amangiri is the untapped one to follow this prep. Yard will be critical but rates strongly.

Verdict: Amangiri
