Rebels V Waratahs

Both sides hitting their straps! Waratahs building momentum once they lightened off their road running type training…. How the Rebels won their last two was mainly due to the TMO referee, who has properly stitched them up with love beyond what is natural or right in this world.. The Rebels play at home.. So you cannot bet as the TMO seems to heavily favour the local team… I can say what ever I want..but in reality going on TMO Form the Rebels are a great chance to get a few tries that Only he can see…or tries will be disallowed if there is any question at all…like can you see anything? … YES I CAN..no try.. penalty against Waratahs… Rebels ball… tipping Waratahs in this town, but would never bet on it in Melbourne Town…or better known now as RORT CITY.

Blues Brumbies

Great game this.. both teams come off beating last week… Blues at home, but Brumbies out of sync… and they need to retweak it a bit, and get positive about it all again..No kicking from George Smith..trust he playing… they need him to counter act Braid,, but I am so taken with Ranger and Piuteu that I am loathe to select against them at home.. especially seeing that the Brumbies are out of form.. Nic White has to lift at 9.. he has been a terrific player this season,but looked shocking last week,,, and Deans did not select him after that match.. for Wallabies squad..proving again how finiscky he is .. White has had a good season over all and deserves better treatment.. Tough game to call… I would rather bet in the run.. If I was pricing this match I would have Blues at 1.80 Brumbies at 2.00… Speight needs to produce here… maybe Blues 1-12.. but would be careful about betting on it.. I am not going to bet… either side could win this in my opinion.

Force V Highlanders..

Amazingly the Highlanders have the nerve to show up in Perth on their way home to another quiet airport…no fanfare for them.. Coach Joseph has no idea how to get the best out these old blokes… He has berated them, and been so 1960′s..or in Nz years and Australian years, 1980′s… Morale there is shocking.. how could it be anything else ? No doubt the team is tweeting away how happy they all are.. but reality says they are a joke.. a forgotten entity of bygone times trying to play in modern era… I am selecting the Force to win!! I do not do that often, and the Highlanders will be heading to the airport in their normal state of mind.. probably defeated… I am no wrap on betting on this match either.. but the Force have the chance to score here.. But not betting on these teams.

Kings V Cheetahs

Still cannot believe the Cheetahs dished up the Reds last week,after being unable to crucify the Kings by 14 or more recently.. yes I remember..cost me a fortune in all up bets.. Cheethas will win by 14 plus surely! But if market says 16 etc I will not be playing, the bookies can beat it….round 11 hurts still…

Stormers V Reds

The Reds welcome the Stormers who were dismissed by the TMO last week.. howls of protest are still echoing away across the world… The Reds dreadful performance must be rectified here,and they can beat this mob.. All the Reds have to do is attack! The Stormers are hopeless at scoring tries, so the Reds have to make this a try fest.. a shoot out if you will.
I have no doubt Cooper should be the opening ten for Wallabies,so that means Deans does not want him… Deans is an idiot selector… proven over and over.. and Genia and Cooper are blatantly great together.. I am looking for a big improvement from the Reds, and the Stormers have travelled home sad.. but do get a hostile crowd on their side this week.. They have missed Burger… Reds can win this 13+

Sharks V Bulls

Sharks return home and afce up to the in form Bulls.. Sharks pretty handy last week.. But Bulls are a slightly better side I believe.. I do not think Steyn has been a great success as captain.. He does not say much.. I have watched him close up,and he is not an overly ebullient type… and while he has been out Keegan Daniel has taken over .. Alberts has finally started playing, and he is viciously tough… Lambie and Mvovo are going ok… but The Bulls are in form and chugging along.. No walk over.. Bulls 1-13.

Really tough game to pick as both teams are under strength and both are not overly reliable..Swans need Tippett badly, and the Magpies who were magnificent last Saturday night, have to back up that fever.. Can they? Buckley really worked wonders with a side lacking stars!! It was great coaching, and also showed the club spirit is alive..and WELL>So how will the Swans respond this week when cruising along and reigned in by Freo… I hate to keep saying it, but I insist Tippett is the key player for them in a few weeks time..Swans not going that well really, lacking something so far this season…I know they build into a season, and they look they are trying their hardest, but there is some thing not quite there.. whether its inner fire that is not flaring, or is it they are just lacking TIPPETT! But can Collingwood go like a finals fever team as they did last week V Geelong… I hope they do… as I have never liked the Swans much… I am barracking for Collingwood, but I cannot bet on it…. Magpies giving away 7 does not appeal to me. Number 7 for Collingwood does! He was fantastic last week… and the team energy was tip top..Maybe the Magpies really enjoyed that effort out put… then can do it again.. and No Tippett for Swans, but Shaw returns for Maggies, and he is such a star…

Port V Geelong

Geelong look a certainty and will be a good things price. Port are going ok, but look young.. They need to retain that bold look they can have.. They have to stand up to Geelong, and see and make the Cats hurry and look ordinary…like the Magpies made them look last week… But The Cats will love the space the stadium offers, and that will ensure they have the time required to make Port look young..Taylor, Mackie and Enright will be hard to get past down back, and the space this oval offers will really suit them…Port have to close as much space down as possible..run themselves into the ground…test their fitness, their tackling, their confidence,in short their everything.. Port has to see this game as a moment of truth…and be bold and keep taking deep breathes…Cats by 30+ appeals a bit.

Giants V Eagles
Smart move by Israel to go to the city.. Eagles will win in an unfashionable manner.. If I were coaching the Eagles this week I would be hell bent on a massive and impressive manner of victory… Really get their game in order.. Play different styles to practise in a match practise situation… No guarantee they will tho… Eagles by 40+ Eagles give away 69… not interested..

St Kilda Dogs..

Dogs are yelpers, as I have said for how many decades? St Kilda will most probably win this.. Maybe Siposs can kick 5? If he gets picked?? Watters has misused him so often, it beggars my understanding of the ‘justice’ system… The Dogs just do not bark often enough.. can play fine football for 5 minutes, but they are way too friendly in everything they do…and wave their tales… They have always been a failed club.. Saints 1-39 Saints give away 28, cant bet that.

Tigers Essendon

Bombers had inquiry week.. are they still going on this week?? If so then Richmond are a big chance.. Both sides would have eyed this match off as a big match up.. Essendon are a better side I have no doubt. They are smarter and taller down back.. but can be dumb enough at times, like getting beaten by Lady Boys last season, and Lions last week….Ryder is going to fire here, I think he will be best player..Ellis is flying now for Richmond, this will be a great game, if I was Essendon, I would tease Richmond, they always take the bait, always! Its easy to get them off their game, I would target Riewoldt,Jackson and Vickery.. 3 egos that wont help themselves… I think Essendon 1-39.. great value Essendon, they get 4- head start..check up to see if they have had no interviews this week..

Lions V Carlton

Lions lose Merritt who is so strong down back.. Big out,,but they did have a presence this time last week, and it was impressive. They really lifted for Voss,and Staker! ..for Voss it was about time….for Staker it was overtime.. whether it lasts is doubtful?? Carlton will be too strong you would think,too quick I should say…except coaching wise, Voss caused Malthouse loads of trouble when playing for the Lions… and last week we saw Voss upset Hird… but last week Essendon was on drug scandal question time… why players are questioned is beyond me.. They do not know what is going into them, they sit back and trust the doctors.. But the big oval will really suit Carlton..The ruck duels will be absorbing with the lions strong there as are Carlton..But the Carlton fast men maybe back here..except for Betts…I would not want to give more than 3 goals away tho..if its more than 18 points..no bet from me. Blues 1-39.. Blues give away 14…consider that…

Hawks Suns

Suns goes down down and down here… They cant hope to win this match. If they stay within 8 goals they will have done well…but I think they won’t. Hawks have a great back line getting into everything and making it all Go…What you want to see from Suns here is defiance.. Not being pushed around, not looking in awe of Hawthorn.. Campbell Brown will be important in this type consciousness stakes.. make it fun to try your hardest etc..Put pressure on May to smash some one.. and for the tackle count to be up..if you come off with less than 5 tackles you get a blitz during the week.. Suns need a gimmick to trick them into believing they can cope here.. Hawks will win 50+..if I was coaching there Hawks would win 30 + Really fascinating match… Big watch on where McKenna really is in knowing how his players tick..if he knows his players, and the collective they will hang in there and get beaten 6 goals… if more than 50 then McKenna no genius… Suns get 66 head start… thats is interesting head start..kind of tempted… 66 is a big head start…. very tempting…

Kangaroos Crows

Top match this.Home ground helps Kangaroos and the umpires owe the Kangaroos.. Kanga have to bounce back from Perth and try and beat Crows, who were very good V Saints.. Gee, this is going to be close..who ever gets the most head start I go for that.. Crows may be getting 12?? Thats my early guess.. Loads of great players to watch here from Dangerfield, who could be brilliant, Sloane is in form, Jenkins and Lynch are strong bodies… North have a team thing happening,and thats most encouraging and with Wells, Thomas,Ziebell, and a back line that is functioning well…Harvey is running like a 16 year old, and Magic Daw is capable of anything,…If Crows get more than 12 points head start, I will go for them..if less than that, go for Kangaroos… and Sanderson is on the couch next Monday!! I rarely see a winning coach on the Couch.. North maybe a good thing.. and umpires owe them big time… North give away 14 points..not tempted by that…

Freo V Lady Boys

The Lady Boys will be tired beyond all reason this week..no sleep, fear, and a dreading of Sunday afternoon.. This is going to be a butchering…The Lady Boys, if they get a team together for this match…do not be surprised if the LADY BOYS PICK SELMA, WAFTY, WILLY, BARNEY, GOLDY, ZKAY, AND BULIMBO… PLAYERS FROM LOCAL CHURCH LEAGUE AND NIGHT CLUBS… The other Lady Boys will be being dragged off plane whimpering… make up draining down the designer clothes… The Labor party may use this tape as an example of bullying in the work place. Freo will win this by a lot 50 + Freo give away 62.. I do not bet on Lady Boy games.

Carlton had all the answers to often asked questions by Port.. That is Port would go silent for a time and then start shouting to get back in the house, but as soon as they got into the back door, the inner doors to the lounge etc were blocked off, and Port were often sent out side again to the back yard to get some thing, then back in they would come, only to be tossed out again.. Carlton deserved to win, and Malthouse has a healthy lead over Port.. too healthy to my liking.. He has Port’s number and he rings it up each time he plays them.. Port’s delivery was abysmal.. you cannot hope to win matches by kicking terribly to leading players.. Carlton backed up easily from last Mondays match.. Modern players are so well prepared, forget about 6 day breaks, and 5 days breaks, it just does not matter that much anymore seeing players jump into ice baths etc and have unlimited access to massage and sleeping tablets and then stimulants like caffeine tablets etc etc.. I am still not racing out to back Carlton to win the flag.. At best they finish 7th or 8th…in my opinion.

Hawthorn went thru the motions V Giants and won by about 14 goals.Did not cover the line

But what about the Magpies beating Geelong!! Collingwood had a heap of players out, and BIG IMPORTANT PLAYERS… Their energy and vim as a total force was fantastic. They flew into the Cats and made them bumble… Krakouer was inspired with effort, Pendlebury was powerful and precise.. Harry O was a running machine off its leash… and Geelong were looking human… then back they came! Used up effort to do that…and back came Collingwood.. It was just great football… The intent we saw from Nic Nat you could see in Krakouer’s eyes.. It was a great match, and breathes life back in the competition! It gives Collingwood a huge wave of power, and they get back at least 5 or 6 players! This is great for the league… the drama is what sports are about…

Then we watched and listened to the TV men absolutely bag and write off Freo… with good reason, their goal kicking was abysmal.. They butchered countless chances… Roos dismissed them as gone with 12 to go, and who could disagree>? I thought D Pearce ex port was terrific. Playing to instructions and with PACE.. I love pace… To get players with pace is what footy is about now.. Its gold.. he cut them up, Fyfe is such a brilliant player…as I have been saying for ever… Ibbotson has been in good form of late and all of a sudden the Swans floundered and could only hold on for a draw..JOhnson was not talked thru his final kick..He half hit it and Reid may have found a new spot to play! He took a ripper mark, and anyone who thinks the Freo players should have punched it thru are dreaming..Reid was 3 feet above the rest.. would have needed a step ladder… So like I say and stand by, Tippett is the total key to the Swans chances.. They need him so badly its almost like Ablett not playing for the SUNS.. He is so VITAL…

THen as a prelude we saw the Suns make the Dogs look half fit mentally and physically…The Dogs have enough good players to work with, but they do not give enuff to my eyes. They drop off, AND DISAPPEAR… and because everyone loves their coach and feels sorry for them they are ignored…by critics..but they play friendly footy over all… cos they go for 1 or 2 quarters, then clock off… The Suns are showing genuine improvement now, and its time! Brown adds starch to this team, and if they get that energy happening in the third quarter again next week it will add to their credibility… they play GEELONG!! The Suns like to play open space footy, their players love to run to the ball and are suited by bigger ovals… But personally I was happy the Suns did well. They just must take themselves seriously now..Its no good anymore to fall down and say we are young,and we are this and that, all designed to get sympathy… They are old enuff to go to war, and old enuff to play this game… So its no excuses now. They simply have to be accountable from now on. Bennell is really shining, and I badly want to see Tom Lynch improve his goal kicking. I strongly believe this young man be a really terrific goal kicker once he knows what he is doing again.. He is a highly talented player of the future.. But the Suns young hearts are pumping pretty well now.

I AGAIN REFUSE TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE REBELS PYRIC VICTORY V STORMERS. IT WAS A STRAIGHT OUT RORT, AND HOW THE MATCH REVIEW REFEREE ALLOWED THE PENALTY try AFTER HIGGENBOTHAM KNOCKED ON BY SMASHING THE BALL OUT OF A STORMERS PLAYERS HAND FORWARDS IS BEYOND BELIEF AFTER LAST WEEKS SHENANIGANS. I SAID LAST WEEK I WOULD NOT BE BETTING ON THESE AUSTRALIAN GAMES OR RUGBY IN GENERAL UNTIL I SAW IMPROVEMENT IN THEIR CONTROVERSIAL RULINGS.. IT IS HORRIFYING FOR RUGBY’S FUTURE, AS I FOR ONE JUST WILL NOT TAKE IT SERIOUSLY, AND WILL NOT EVEN BOTHER WATCHING THE GAMES.. It is just so wrong rugby people… two weeks in a row Rebels get HOME TOWN decisions… NO I will not watch and cheer it.

Rabbits Tigers Tigers never recovered from player suicide at beginning of season. Rabbits are THE BEST TEAM IN THE COMP, AND WILL WIN THE PREMIERSHIP . They will also win this…but 22 line is too much to bet.. I thought 16 more realistic…

Dragons V Eels Quite keen on dragons..Eels had luck last week, and now that over…Dragons been veryt unlucky if not robbed of late.. new flu back!@! trouble incorporated… Dragons to win easily.. will cover the line.

Close match this.both teams quite similar even in looks! Both very unreliable teams.. I think confidence and home ground advantage favours Panthers…. but that could make Leeg Gods laugh in your face and make Warriors win.. No bet..bit favour Panthers with fear.

Cowboys V Roosters
Cowboys to win this. Big game may have hurt them a bit on Monday when belted by manly forwards and Cowboys are also belters..so Cowboys better lift, and they can get their season going again… Thurstons to fire up Cowboys to WIN.
